Clouds increase tonight and showers and storms will develop late Thursday as a warm front moves in. Some cells could turn strong, bringing heavy rain, small hail, and high winds. By Friday morning, temperatures will climb to the upper 60s ahead of an approaching cold front. Another round of showers and strong thunderstorms will come through along the front. The best chance for severe weather favors the southeastern part of Wisconsin on Friday afternoon.

Gusty winds will continue across southern Wisconsin today. A cold front will push in tonight, dragging a narrow band of light rain. A few wet flakes could mix in toward daybreak, mainly north of I-94, but ground warmth means no accumulation. Behind the front, Tuesday will be cooler. Clouds will slowly clear through the afternoon, but high temperatures will struggle to reach the low 50s. High pressure will settle overhead late Tuesday night, calming the wind and knocking lows below freezing.

While many spots may just see a few flurries, some areas could pick up minor accumulations on grassy surfaces. By this afternoon, drier air will filter in, so skies will slowly clear late in the day. Highs will be near 40 degrees, but expect a breezy north wind around 15-20 mph to add a chill. Sunshine returns tomorrow, boosting highs into the middle 40s.
