China’s National Press and Publication Administration (NPPA) approved 15 import games on August 2, 2024, granting them the coveted ISBN for domestic publication. This takes the number of import game approvals in 2024 to 76, which is already higher than the 76 titles approved in 2022, 44 in 2023, and is on track to surpass the 98 approved in 2023. “Import games” refers to titles developed or owned by a non-China based entity.

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has detained four businessmen on suspicion of receiving bribes from several companies and contractors that secured tenders in a ministry. Among the four are a former political secretary to a former minister and a 'Datuk Seri'. Magistrate Irza Zulaikha Rohanuddin granted remand for three suspects for four days starting today until Jan 27, while another suspect was remanded for three days until Jan 26.
