After a disappointing start to the season Manchester United parted ways with Erik ten Hag in October and Amorim takes over with Manchester United sat in 13th place in the league with a mediocre 15 points from 11 games. Manchester United are now on to their 6th manager post-Sir Alex Ferguson.

On Saturday Mike Williamson’s Carlisle side travelled to the Peninsula Stadium to take on Karl Robinson’s Salford City where rock-bottom Carlisle United snatched a last-gasp 1-0 victory thanks to a header from substitute Ben Barclay. The first half was a largely uneventful one with both sides struggling to create many clear-cut opportunities. Carlisle goalkeeper was forced in to a great save from a strike low down by Salford striker Kylian Kouassi.
