Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a common autosomal recessive disease due to mutations of the gene encoding the cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR). While the main CF airway pathologic feature is severe neutrophilic inflammation, Type 2 (T2) inflammation may be augmented.
