    The government has suspended kitchen use in prison separation centres that are used to house a small number of the UK's most dangerous and extremist inmates, it is understood. It comes after the Manchester Arena bomber Hashem Abedi attacked three prison officers on Saturday in HMP Frankland. Two male officers remain in hospital with serious injuries. A female officer was discharged from hospital on Saturday.

    Three prison officers have been attacked by Hashem Abedi, one of the men responsible for the Manchester Arena bombing. The officers sustained life-threatening injuries on Saturday including burns, scalds and stab wounds in the attack at HMP Frankland in County Durham, the Prison Officers' Association said. Abedi threw hot cooking oil over the officers and used "home made weapons" to stab them, the organisation said.

Bulgarian nationals Cvetelina Gencheva and Tsvetanka Doncheva took part in elaborate surveillance operations against people spied on by the cell. Neither woman answered questions when contacted by the BBC. Ms Gencheva, an airport worker, hung up when contacted by phone, and said she did not want to comment on the case in response to a subsequent letter.

Thanks @DdesimoneDaniel for writing about it. It's good to know that I can rely on colleagues to ensure that it's revealed. The Austrian judiciary has done little to nothing so far. This woman is still free - while we (and others) have to ensure our security on our own.
