"it's not what you know, but who you know" among my biggest regrets, not realizing this earlier in life its one of those things you don't really get until it impacts your life and then it's like "why didn't I look through this lens before?!" did things the hard way for too long

literally everyone in tegmark's comments is a hater now i think what happened is: -- FLI got really successful / max's PR image became more groomed, less sporatic/personal-feeling -- so the actual "max fans" aren't as engaged -- instead, just the "doomer-haters" stayed :(
