1 Introduction Over the last decade, mental health in child and adolescent patients has been increasing (Bitsko et al. 2022). Among these disorders, childhood-onset schizophrenia, while rare may be the most debilitating (Bartlett 2014). Childhood-onset schizophrenia typically manifest before the age of 13 with an estimated prevalence of approximately one in 40 000 children (Gochman et al. 2011; Kao and Liu 2010).
