    RANDOLPH COUNTY — A local school district could soon close a final chapter on the remaining vestige from COVID-19 pandemic-era education. A virtual school that has served students in Randolph County since 2020 when it was opened in response to the medical crisis that rocked the nation could soon cease to exist. The Randolph County Board of Education set a public hearing for next month’s regular May meeting to receive public input on the possible closure of The Virtual Academy at Randolph.
