    Daredevil: Born Again had a tumoltuous development process. The series was meant to be a soft reboot of Netflix's Daredevil, utilizing certain elements from it (mainly its stars, Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio), while still technically being a new beginning for the Man Without Fear. However, deep into filming Season 1's first few episodes, the series was taken back to the drawing board. New creatives were brought on board, and the show was retooled as Season 4 of Netflix's Daredevil.

    As the DCU takes shape, one pressing question has loomed over it for some time: Will Robert Pattinson's Batman be integrated into the universe? At first glance, the idea seems impossible. After all, in DC Studios' 2023 slate reveal, James Gunn announced Brave and the Bold, a DCU-set film about Batman and Damian Wayne. Yet, reports, rumors and speculation have persisted about DC Studios at least considering making Matt Reeves' universe part of the nascent franchise.

    One aspect that James Gunn and Peter Safran have been particularly careful about when crafting their new DC Universe is its lore. In 2023, for example, Gunn revealed on Threads that DC Studios was creating "an incredibly detailed world map" for the nascent franchise. Then, while speaking to Josh Horowitz on the Happy Sad Confused podcast in 2024, Gunn said his focus for the DCU was world-building. Now, we've gotten another bit of lore information from the DCU.

    The closing moments of the teaser trailer for Peacemaker Season 2 left viewers with a big question, as Christopher Smith (John Cena) was confronted by who appeared to be an alternate version of himself. This naturally sparked theories, with the prevailing one being that the peace-loving antihero will make his way to another universe in his sophomore season. Fortunately, we won't have to wait long to have the question answered.
