    This article is featured in the 2024 Commencement & Reunions special issue. Well, here I am. Writing a TTLG, just as previous editors have done before me. These reflections were always my favorite to read at the end of previous spring terms. Not only did they make me appreciate the outgoing editors, but they often brought tears to my eyes. Now, it is my time to write one — you know, because I’m graduating. The fact that my time at Dartmouth is over baffles me.

    Several faculty and staff members have formed Faculty and Staff for Justice in Palestine, a group that represents “an alternative voice on campus for discussion of the conflict in the Middle East, and the U.S.’s role in it,” according to an email from history professor Udi Greenberg — a member of the group. Greenberg said in an interview that the group consists of around 50 faculty and staff from across the five schools at the College.

    On Feb. 26, Kevin Engel ’27 and Roan V. Wade ’25 appeared at the Lebanon District Court at 1 p.m., where they were tried for misdemeanor counts of trespassing. The trial, presided by District Court Judge Michael Mace, began an hour and a half late due to delays from earlier hearings that day. Dartmouth students and Upper Valley residents filled the courthouse, and the door remained open for people to listen in the lobby.

    The College determined on Feb. 20 that the ice is stable enough for the rink to stay open for the near future. Updated (Feb. 20, 1:30 p.m.): This article has been updated to include the Office of Communication’s latest announcement about the rink from Feb. 20. On Feb. 20, the Office of Communications announced on Vox Daily that the ice skating rink on the Green would remain open for a few more days this week due to cold enough weather conditions.

    The College attributed the rink’s closure to “unstable ice conditions.” On Feb. 19, the Office of Communications announced that the ice skating rink on the Green would close for the season due to “unstable ice conditions.” The announcement — which appeared on Vox Daily — also thanked the College’s Facilities Operations & Management team and Hanover town crews for maintaining the rink.
