This is the eleventh report of rocks being thrown that Aurora OPP has received since Sept. 20, police said. Including the reports that York police have received, the total number of incidents is brought up to 20. The video shows dashcam footage behind two vehicles driving along Highway 48 in Markham.

An OPP officer was released from hospital and recovering on Friday after they were stabbed the day before during a fatal police shooting in Orillia. “The officer has since been released from the hospital and is now recovering at home,” said Thomas Carrique, commissioner of the OPP, in a statement posted on X.

One man is dead and two are being transported to hospital after a pit collapsed during a sewage pipe repair in North York on Wednesday evening. The two men were transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries. Toronto police said they are on scene alongside firefighters and paramedics. Emergency services were called to the area of Bayview and Ruddington Avenues just before 5:30 p.m.The Ministry of Labour has taken over the investigation.

Police are searching for two suspects after video shows them starting a fire at a Richmond Hill movie theatre on Sunday. At around 11:10 p.m. on Sunday, officers were called to the area of East Beaver Creek and Highway 7 for reports of a fire in the theatre’s main lobby. The video released by York police shows a car pulling up in front of the entrance and two hooded, masked individuals leaving the vehicle with a blue grocery bag.

A suspect is being sought after a noxious substance was sprayed at a protest in Brampton, Peel police say. On Monday evening, a crowd estimated to be in the hundreds gathered for a counterdemonstration at the Hindu Sabha Mandir temple before heading south. When they reached the intersection of The Gore Road and Ebenezer roads, a handful of participants surrounded a southbound truck and could be seen pounding on the vehicle, some with what appeared to be wooden sticks.

Police are searching for a suspect who allegedly sprayed an unknown substance at a protest outside a Hindu temple in Brampton on Monday – while participants question the conduct of two Peel officers at a related protest the day prior. At 6 p.m., a crowd estimated to be in the hundreds gathered for a counter demonstration at the Hindu Sabha Mandir Temple, at 9225 The Gore Road. There, participants of the protest disavowed a demonstration held by Khalistan supporters on Sunday outside the temple.
