The Vancouver Canucks didn't make it to the Stanley Cup Playoffs, but the Stanley Cup will be coming to Vancouver. The Florida Panthers entered Tuesday's Game 6 up 3-2 in the Stanley Cup Final against the Edmonton Oilers. They left Game 6 with the Stanley Cup after a crushing victory, hammering the Oilers 5-1. West Vancouver's own Sam Reinhart scored four of the Panthers' five goals, tying an NHL record for the most goals in a Stanley Cup Final game.

Bowen Byram is on the market. The 24-year-old defenceman from Cranbrook, B.C., is coming off a career year for the Buffalo Sabres, putting up seven goals and 38 points in 82 games. And yet, per multiple reports, the Buffalo Sabres are exploring trading Byram before they have to re-sign the pending restricted free agent, with one report that Byram has requested a trade.

An injury prevented Quinn Hughes from playing for Team USA at the 4 Nations Face-Off earlier this year, but the Vancouver Canucks' captain will get another opportunity to represent his country next February. Hughes was named to Team USA's "first six" on Monday, part of a series of announcements made for all 12 teams in the tournament. This isn't the least bit surprising.

At least two Latvian players on the Vancouver Canucks will be heading to the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy next February. On Monday morning, Teddy Blueger and Arturs Silovs were named to Team Latvia's "first six" players for the upcoming men's hockey tournament at the Olympics. It was part of a series of announcements for the 12 teams in the tournament. Blueger and Silovs making Team Latvia's first six isn't too much of a surprise.
