Canada has introduced a relief period for businesses from its counter-tariffs on some U.S. imports. Those tariffs were put in place in response to President Donald Trump's tariffs on steel, aluminum, cars and other goods. Economists and financial advisors on both sides of the border are trying to keep up with the evolving trade war and volatile stock market.

Your grocery store or market probably has a number of milk options for customers to peruse: whole, two percent, skim, chocolate, local, grass-fed, store brand...the list goes on. Most, if not all of these options, are pasteurized. That means the milk has gone through a process to rid it of bacteria. But many people prefer their milk unpasteurized, or raw. According to the market research firm Nielsen IQ, raw milk sales rose more than 20 percent last spring compared to the same period a year before.

The Vermont legislative session begins on January 8th, and lawmakers and administration officials are preparing for the new biennium. First elected in 2016, Gov. Phil Scott won a fifth term in November with nearly 74% of the vote. The election results signaled significant changes under the Golden Dome, as Republicans gained seats in the House and Senate, breaking the Democrats’ supermajority.

There have been many movies set in Vermont, but they’re often not actually filmed here. That’s partly because Vermont doesn’t offer tax credits to filmmakers like some other states. So, when the Beetlejuice crew arrived in 1987, it was a big deal. Beetlejuice tells the story of a recently deceased couple, played by Geena Davis and Alec Baldwin, who enlist the help of the mischievous Beetlejuice to scare away the Deetz family, who have moved into their home.
