Preventive discourse in GPs’ clinical communication focuses on secondary prevention, reducing further risk associated with the (mis)management of long-term conditions. Although GPs frequently advise about the future risks of stroke, heart attack, and cancer, dementia does not appear as part of the risk or risk reduction discourse.

Taya Jones, a student from Gracie Barra in Frome, won a gold medal at the weekend after competing in the IBJJF International Championships in London. This is her third year of competing in the sport and her first competition of the year. She also was selected to bring home the 2nd place junior category trophy of behalf of Gracie Barra which was a real honour. Gracie Barra Frome are looking forward to taking a team of students to compete at the Wiltshire Open in a couple of weeks time.

A line of students eagerly waited outside the doors of the Kaufman School of Dance Friday afternoon. Dancer and choreographer Aiki arrived, not hesitating to come close to the courtyard’s tables to greet and take pictures with students. If there was anything to take away from the interaction, it’s that dance and K-pop continues to transcend continental distance and language barriers.
