AN Irish Lottery player has bagged a life changing six-figure prize fund in tonight’s Lotto Plus 2 draw. The lucky winner will now take home a whopping €250,000 prize. The winning numbers for the Lotto Plus 2 draw were 7, 32, 33, 35, 39, 46 and the bonus was 6. Lotto chiefs confirmed the winning ticket was sold in the capital. Another Lotto punter scooped €110,928 in the main Lotto draw tonight by matching five numbers and the bonus.

WEATHER chiefs have issued two new alerts after shock snowfall hits parts of the country today. And punters heading to the Irish Grand National at Fairyhouse will need to pack an umbrella. Met Eireann have issued a new Status Yellow rain alert for Cork and Kerry. They warned there will be “spells of rain, heavy at times” with the possibility of localised flooding. It kicks in from 11pm tomorrow and remains in place until noon on Friday.

AIRPORT bosses have warned that Easter Sunday is set to be the busiest day for travel - and Irish holidaymakers heading abroad should plan ahead. Families from across Ireland are set to jet off for trips over the Easter break, which runs until Sunday, April 27. Some 460,000 passengers are set to travel through Dublin Airport over the coming Easter bank holiday weekend, including around 232,000 departing passengers.

FREE HRT for thousands of Irish women worth €840 will commence from June 1. Hormone Replacement Therapy used to help with the symptoms of menopause will now be free for all women in Ireland. Minister for Health Jennifer Carroll MacNeill also announced the State will be covering a dispensing fee – a step forward from Budget 2025 which only covered the medication costs. The scheme will save women prescribed HRT between €360 and €840 a year as these products can cost between €30 and €70 per month.

As many of us munch into Easter eggs this week, Veterinary Surgeon at The Irish Blue Cross Ciara Sweeney warned people not to leave chocolate lying around the house. Chocolate contains two ingredients that can pose a danger to pet health - theobromine and caffeine.
