The Water Access Acceleration Fund attracted commitments from international development finance institutions, foundations, family offices, and private investors. Belgian impact fund manager Incofin Investment Management said its Water Access Acceleration Fund (W2AF), which aims to provide underserved communities in Africa and Asia with affordable and safe drinking water, has reached a final close with commitments of €61m.

Commitments from a range of financial services organisations and from development finance capital will allow the fund to invest as much $1bn in next-generation infrastructure across Africa and Asia by 2028. The Emerging Africa & Asia Infrastructure Fund (EAAIF), a blended finance vehicle managed by fund manager Ninety One, has raised $325m (€289m) in a new debt finance package.

Private individuals can invest in unlisted climate technology companies starting from €20,000, which the platform hopes will broaden access to climate impact investing. Ocean 14 Capital Fund I, a private equity impact investment fund focused on the UN SDG 14 – Life Below Water – and S2G Investments, a late-stage venture and growth-stage investor, have struck a joint investment deal with Colombian startup Enthos Circular Feed Technologies.
