Bishop Gerald Barbarito of the Diocese of Palm Beach praised Pope Francis for his intellect and down-to-earth nature, emphasizing his outreach to marginalized communities. "He had a great intellect of theology, philosophy, literature. But he was so down to earth. And the way he explained, the faith and the way he, taught about the faith was so appealing, to people," Barbarito said. Barbarito noted that one of the memorable aspects of Pope Francis's papacy is his outreach to the poor and forgotten.

BUT JUST FOR PERSPECTIVE, WE GOT MORE THAN TWO INCHES OF RAINFALL IN WELLINGTON IN ADDITION TO THAT HAIL VIDEO, YOU JUST SAW MORE THAN THREE IN BOYNTON BEACH. AND THIS IS MUCH NEEDED RAINFALL BECAUSE WE ARE ALL ACROSS PALM BEACH COUNTY IN AN EXTREME DROUGHT. SO ACTUALLY IT WAS BENEFICIAL IN THAT SENSE, BUT RATHER VIOLENT IF YOU WERE TRYING TO GET ANYWHERE QUICKLY.
