    “It all started with Geranium Pour Monsieur,” master perfumer Dominique Ropion recalls of the beloved men’s fragrance he created for Frédéric Malle in 2009. “Frédéric imagined a feminine version of that, keeping its amber and balsamic base. I had the idea of adding an exceptional quantity of Turkish rose.” Four hundred roses per 100ml bottle, to be precise. The result was an instant classic.
