Hindi na kasi nakakagulat na may mga taong napipilitang tumira kung saan-saan bunga ng malawakang kahirapan. May mga pinagtagpi-tagping istruktura sa tabi ng estero, sa ilalim ng tulay, sa may riles ng tren.

Dahil alam na ang mga kandidatong wagi at sawi, siyempre’y wala nang dahilan para pumunta ang mga mayaman at makapangyarihan sa komunidad para magpamudmod ng pera. Wala nang makikipagkamay at mag-aabot ng sobre. Para naman sa mga gumagamit ng e-wallet, wala nang manghihingi ng numerong ipapadala ang inaasam na salapi. Wala na ring ipamimigay na ecobag na may bigas at de-lata. Balik sa “normal” kumbaga, balik sa araw-araw na buhay ng pagiging salat.

Habang komportable ang mga mayaman at makapangyarihan sa kanilang magagarang sasakyan, siksikan naman ang mga pinagkaitang maagang gumising pero late na naman sa pupuntahan. Paminsan-minsa’y may limitadong saya. May mga araw namang nakakatulog nang sapat. Kahit paano, nakakabili rin ng pansit lalo na kung kaarawan.
