The incident, which occurred on Tuesday, March 18, at about 4:30 p.m., happened when a joint security operation ransacked the enclave of a notorious terrorist leader, Sanusi Dutsinma. Those rescued consist mainly of women and children, with a breakdown comprising seven males, 23 females, and 54 children.

    The Katsina State Police Command has said a joint security operation foiled a bandits’ attack and neutralised one of the hoodlums in Dutsinma Local Government Area. A statement by a spokesperson for the command, DSP Abubakar Aliyu, said the incident occurred on Saturday, March 15, at about 12:30 p.m.He said several items were recovered as exhibits from the area, including an AK-47 rifle and ammunition, a motorcycle, wraps of Indian hemp, and dangerous drugs.

Spokesperson for the command, DSP Abubakar Aliyu, in a statement, said 144 suspects were arrested in connection with 228 reported major crimes during the period under review.
