1 INTRODUCTION Pentatomomorpha, the stink bugs and allies, is one of seven infraorders of Heteroptera (Insecta: Hemiptera) (Schuh & Slater, 1995). This group, mostly phytophagous, is the second largest heteropteran infraorder (Henry, 1997), with more than 16,000 species belonging to 42 families (Weirauch et al., 2019).
