    Xavier Witikko joined GMN to share his music and his story. He has been performing live music in the Northland since 2014 with The Northeast Timberland Band, and is also studying to be an English teacher at a college in Duluth. He grew up around music and has fond memories of singing in church with his mother and listening to his Dad play guitar, mandolin, and banjo in the early morning of their family camping trips up the north shore.

    Skarlett Woods visited Good Morning Northland to perform and discuss her upcoming album! Skarlett received winning placements in Duluth’s Dylan Fest Songwriting Contest in both 2022 and 2023 for her songs, “Close To You (Braver These Days)” and “Me, I, Me, Me”. After being named for the “People’s Choice Award” at Wussow’s Songwriting Contest in 2023, Skarlett was selected as the opening ceremony act for Duluth’s 2023 Homegrown Festival with standing room only.
