Stan Lee and Jack Kirby created The Fantastic Four, a group of superheroes who didn't resemble anything else at the time. They didn't have secret identities, and weren't perfect people who always did the right thing. However, they turned out to be exactly what Marvel needed, as their success kick-started the Marvel Universe. Of course, making a first issue is an art. Since the 60s, The Fantastic Four have been at the forefront of many of Marvel's biggest moments and line-wide initiatives.
