It seems like the Miami Dolphins have tried everything to fix the backup quarterback position in recent years. They’ve signed veterans (Teddy Bridgewater, Jacoby Brissett), tried to develop young talent (Skylar Thompson), and added free agents in the middle of the season (Tyler Huntley). None of those have worked, so the Dolphins are taking a different approach in 2025.

The Miami Dolphins are adding yet another name to their defensive tackle room. The Dolphins are signing defensive tackle Ben Stille to the roster, according to KPRC2 NFL reporter Aaron Wilson. This will be Stille’s second stint with the Dolphins, as he made the team’s practice squad after going undrafted in 2022 out of Nebraska. Stille played in just one game for the Dolphins before the Cleveland Browns eventually signed him off the practice squad in November.

Miami Dolphins running back Jaylen Wright is ready to put his rookie season behind him. Although the Dolphins traded a future pick to select Wright in the 2024 NFL draft, he didn’t see the field a ton last season. He carried the ball just 68 times for 249 yards and caught three of his six receiving targets for eight yards. The Dolphins’ backfield was crowded, as Raheem Mostert and De’Von Achane (mostly Achane) anchored the team’s running game.

When Miami Dolphins fans woke up Tuesday morning, it seemed like trade talks with the Pittsburgh Steelers centered around Jonnu Smith had broken down. Well, that lasted for about half a day. Smith and Ramsey are two of the team’s better players, and whether one or both leave, some movement seems inevitable. Here’s where each situation stands and what McDaniel had to say about it.

@DanteCollinelli Wow, they finally decided to post their numbers long after every other NFL team had already posted theirs. Once again, late to the dance.

Conyers needs a lot of development, and he bounced around a bunch (3 schools). Run blocking isn’t his strength right now, but I didn’t have effort concerns off tape. I had a draftable grade on him fwiw.

@DanteCollinelli Hi, Danre. What do you think made Conyers slide out of the draft? Was he not a full time player on key downs, can he run block, was it an effort thing?
