1 Introduction Microplastics (MPs) are ubiquitous across various environmental media due to the extensive global use and slow degradation of plastics. With evidence emerging of MPs being detected in human lung tissue,[1, 2] nasal lavage fluid, and sputum,[3, 4] as one of the important pathways of MPs intake, the harm of respiratory intake to the body has gradually attracted wide attention.
