    Enabling open scienceRecent developments have the potential to enable a sea change whereby researchers from all over the world and diverse backgrounds can contribute to our scientific knowledge. However, we must be vigilant and proactive in ensuring that these tools help decrease rather than increase the gap between the haves and the have-nots, in which capabilities are available disproportionately to certain groups or deployed disproportionately to certain problem domains versus others.
