The European Union needs to boost its defence spending, invest in its defence industry and increase cooperation with the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said after meeting NATO’s chief in Athens on Tuesday. “We agreed on one of the fundamental priorities for all the allies, the need to boost our common defence, a target which requires a strong defence industry, significant investments,” Mitsotakis said after meeting Mark Rutte.
