Over the weekend, I got a WhatsApp message from Mr. A. Mr. A and I have been in touch since he was trying to get out of Afghanistan after American troops withdrew in 2021.

Just texted my brother, who lives in Wisconsin, about a voting plan. Voting is good. Knowing in advance when, where, how you will get to the polls is good. Making sure your loved ones — esp if they actually have representation in Congress :/ — also know these things is good.
Just set up a recurring donation for Bolts. It’s tremendously hard, at the level of individual journalists or of newsrooms, to sustain yourself if your aim is not to win awards or change history but simply to inform the public. It is also the highest goal.
