    Next season’s William Hill Championship football fixture list is out now and it sees Raith Rovers begin their latest bid for promotion at home to Queen’s Park. That’s on Saturday, August 2, with kick-off at Kirkcaldy’s Stark’s Park at 3pm. Next up for the Fifers after that is a trip to Ayr United seven days later, with two further fixtures following in August – a Fife derby at home to Dunfermline Athletic on the 23rd and a trip to Partick Thistle on the 30th, both Saturdays.

    The first Scottish Premiership football fixture list to feature Falkirk since 2009 is out now and it sees the Bairns begin their latest top-flight campaign at home to Dundee United. That’s on Sunday, August 3, with kick-off at the Falkirk Stadium at 2pm. Next up for the manager John McGlynn’s men after that is a trip to Livingston on Saturday, August 9, with kick-off at 3pm. Two other fixtures follow in August, at home to Hibernian on the 23rd and away to Aberdeen on the 30th, both Saturday.

    Falkirk’s first home kit for fifteen years to feature a Scottish Premiership badge is out now ahead of next football season. Again created by club technical partner O’Neills, the 2025/26 season’s navy blue home shirt, with the club’s badge in the middle, features white sleeves and red details, with Falkirk digital marketing firm Crunchy Carrots continuing as their main sponsor. It’s accompanied by white shorts and red socks.

    Four Borderers have been named in Scotland’s squad for this summer’s World Rugby U20 Championship in Italy. Head coach Kenny Murray has called up Gala’s Nairn Moncrieff, Hawick’s Hector Patterson and Melrose’s Ben White and Dylan Cockburn. Winger Moncrieff, scrum-half Patterson and prop White are all now at Edinburgh and second-rower Cockburn has joined their United Rugby Championship rivals Glasgow Warriors’ academy.

    Former Gala Fairydean Rovers defender Ciaran Greene says he’s hoping to be competing at the top end of the Scottish Lowland Football League rather than the bottom next season after moving to rivals Linlithgow Rose. Manager Martin Scott’s Borderers ended up second from bottom of the league last time round, on 31 points from 34 fixtures, avoiding relegation only on goal difference.
