THE NEXT 24 HOURSA few showers are possible this morning. However, rain chances are going to be on the uptick throughout the day. Watch for scattered downpours which could cause some local high water issues for portions of Middle Tennessee. These drenching downpour chances eventually ease away later in the week with soaring high temperatures in the 90s.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Warmer weather is in store for the Midstate this week with plenty of sunshine. Dust particles mixing with sunlight can make for neat-looking sunrises and sunsets.

A few strong storms are possible for parts of the Midstate tonight.(WSMV)THE NEXT 24 HOURSStorms brought intense wind gusts across portions of Middle Tennessee earlier this afternoon. The bulk of the activity has moved east, leaving behind drier and quieter skies for most of the region this evening. There’s still a chance for scattered rain and a few strong storms tonight for areas south of the I-40 corridor. Otherwise, most should stay dry as temperatures drop into the 70s and upper 60s.
