Some people in the U.S. claim that establishing universal health care here would be too expensive, that the care would not be as good, and that we would wait longer to receive it. That, dear readers, is BS of the worst kind. And who are the people making those claims? In many cases it is the same people who claim our U.S. healthcare system is wasteful. They are right; it is wasteful. And as you read on, I will identify just why it is so wasteful.

We are heading toward a terrible recession. And it will hurt everybody — especially our declining middle class, those already in poverty, and our homeless citizens. Even the rich will lose some of their wealth. How do I know this? My laptop told me when I asked it a few questions. Are we losing our democracy? Perhaps we are — unless …And it’s that unless that I want to emphasize. I understand why President Donald Trump won his narrow margin in last November’s election. I understand why many disgusted folks voted for him. They said prices are too high and that government is not being responsive to their needs. And they were afraid the situation is getting worse. Many can’t afford homes the way their parents could. And they see that the rich are the ones in charge.
