A fundraiser Thursday was held for the Damiano Center of Duluth, which helps meet the basic needs of those in our community who need it. Most of us have become accustomed to having a home to keep us warm and food to keep us fed. But there are those in our community who don’t have even their basic needs met. Thursday night the Damiano Center held an event to address that. For decades, the Damiano Center has helped provide vital services to the Duluth community.

Unofficial results in Tuesday’s Wisconsin general election are showing voters in Superior’s 2nd council district have chosen Jenny Anderson overincumbent Jenny Van Sickle. The 2nd district race is one of two contested races out of five on the ballot. Sarah Anderson’s public bio says she is 48-years old and has lived in Superior since 2007.

Duluth Denfeld’s robotics team took 2nd place out of 51 teams at the regionals this year. On Friday night there was a chance for the community to show their support. Denfeld robotics held a fun night of demonstrations and a silent auction to raise money for their program. It takes money to keep a robotics team going.

The party was to announce the 2025/26 productions for their main stage, the underground, and the youth theatre. The lineup includes beloved musicals, reimagined classics, and groundbreaking contemporary work. Playhouse executive director, Wes Drummond says the Playhouse is set to deliver a season that is packed full of surprises, laughter, and unforgettable moments.
