Mornington Shire mayor Anthony Marsh has been grilled after eventgoers were fined for illegally parking at the Red Hill show yesterday despite a lack of clear signage. He told 3AW Sunday Mornings most fines issued by parking inspectors are the result of complaints but conceded temporary signage would make it clearer for eventgoers. “We could be more proactive in putting up temporary signs … most people aren’t going to park in that area for 51 other weeks of the year,” he said.

A leading Australian education voice has cast doubt on a plan to fit ankle bracelets on teen criminals. Starting in April, offenders’ ankle bracelets will be in state schools under a new plan from the Allan government. Australian Principals Federation president Tina King told Sunday Morning the plan was an “untenable situation”. The world has been left in shock after a suspected assassination attempt on former US president Donald Trump in Pennsylvania on Sunday (AEST).
