Chelsea reportedly set an asking price for Renato Veiga amid suggestions that Juventus want to sign the Portugal international on a permanent deal. Prior to the start of this season, the Blues spent in the region of €14m (£12.02m) to secure the services of the versatile Basel defender on a seven-year contract. Although Veiga would make 12 starts and six substitute outings in all competitions during the first half of the season, he rarely played in his preferred position of centre-back.

Despite productive loan stints at Anderlecht, PSV Eindhoven and Rangers, it became clear over the summer that Silva has likely played his last game for the Premier League outfit.
