Sunday is Mothers Day, in case you needed a reminder. So this weekβs list of our most reprinted cartoons features a number of pieces celebrating the mothers of America. But our most popular cartoon of the week was a poke against relentlessly high grocery store prices, drawn by John Darkow. Iβm not optimistic things will get much cheaper anytime soon, especially with Trumpβs tariffs on deck. Thatβs good for cartoonists and bad for everyone else.

Nearly all our most-reprinted cartoons this week touch on some impact Trumpβs Washington is having on folks.

The Trump administration wants to kill Sesame Street, ridiculing versions of the show around the world, and by defunding PBS. I spent many years drawing Muppets. Sad to see. https://t.co/RUn4FGEN0U

Here's my new podcast --its a slideshow of 115 Trump Trade War cartoons. I did put together cover images for it, two have art by Steve Sack, and the third is by RJ Matson. Which one is best? I love them all equally. See the "CagleCast" at: https://t.co/AlcKbnFTtL https://t.co/cFljRbfwSI

Give me a great gag that makes a good point, and I'll draw and syndicate this and give you a thank you credit in the attribution in the cartoon. The speech balloon can be bigger, the fish can have labels, it can be about trade wars or China or Trump or whatever. If I use it, I'll https://t.co/CdeY847WWv
