With the weather outside getting better, there's a sense of baseball in the air and for Kelcie Neufeld, Vice-President of Vita Minor Baseball, the excitement of a new season is building. Over the years that she's been involved, Neufeld says it's been pretty amazing to see the continued support and growth of the ball programs in the area. "It has actually grown tremendously over the past five years that I've been involved," she says proudly. "When I started, we maybe had 10 kids in total.

President of Altona Minor Ball, Donovan Bergman, says they’re ready for a big season on the diamond, with many programs designed for all ages. Community excitement grows as the season approaches Bergman says there’s already a buzz in the community as the outdoor season approaches. “Kids are very excited. We’ve been practicing indoors for a couple of weeks, watching the snow melt and the temperatures climb. Everyone is excited to get out as quick as we can.

It was an incredible year for curling's Team Sugden, and coach Gord Titchkosky couldn't be prouder but also believes their best is yet to come. Titchkosky can trace his love of the sport back a long ways and it's only grown over the years as a coach. "It all started going back to before I can even remember. My parents were involved in curling, so I grew up in a curling rink, pretty much. It was natural for me to get involved with it.

Manitoba goaltender Raygan Kirk has had a terrific season with the PWHL's Toronto Sceptres and the rookie has enjoyed every moment of being a professional hockey player. Coming out of college, Kirk admits that getting used to the schedule has been a lot of fun but it has taken some time to get accustomed to it all.
