Ice conditions in the area remain uncertain as temperatures bounce on the thermometer. Conservation Officer Sarah Jahn in Thief River Falls encourages caution when driving on the ice. She says “ice conditions appear to be rapidly changing with the warmer weather.” Jahn also says she spent time last week wrapping up a big-game case and handling various wildlife-related complaints.

A North Dakota woman was injured in a single vehicle accident over the weekend in Rocksbury Township. According to the Minnesota State Patrol Alison Mckenzie Hennes (42) of Cavalier, was injured when the vehicle she was driving left Highway 59 and crashed at 170th Avenue just before 6pm Sunday. Hennes was taken to Sanford and treated for injuries troopers at the scene described as non-life threatening. She was wearing a seatbelt. Road conditions were listed as “dry” in the State Patrol report.
