More than 6 in 10 Americans surveyed in a recent Economist/YouGov poll said they believed that businesses should display the portion of the price of products for sale that are costs added by tariffs. Amazon had they would include the cost added to customers’ purchases by President Donald Trump’s tariffs.

    A fast food giant reported a major slow down in sales during its first quarter of 2025. The McDonald’s golden arches sagged under what the company described as economic uncertainty in a release on Thursday that showed its U.S. sales decreased by 3.6%. That’s the largest quarterly drop since the second quarter of 2020, when the opening of the global COVID-19 pandemic sent sales down 8.7%, according to NBC News.
