2 LucasFilm has announced ‘Star Wars: Starfighter’, a new Star Wars movie, directed by Shawn Levy and starring Ryan Gosling, will begin production this Autumn. Levy, who recently directed and produced Marvel’s hit ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’, made a surprise appearance during ‘The Mandalorian and Grogu’ panel at Star Wars Celebration in Japan today, joining Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy and chief creative officer Dave Filoni on stage to confirm his project for the live audience.

0 With Star Wars Celebration in full swing in Japan right now, we’re starting to get some interesting announcements come through, including the reveal of a new animated series, ‘Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord‘, premiering on Disney+ in 2026. During the 20th anniversary Lucasfilm Animation panel, surprise guest Sam Witwer took the stage to reveal his return to the galaxy as the star of the next animated series — ‘Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord’.

1 Netflix has released a little teaser trailer and announced that ‘The Sandman‘ will return this July, in two parts, for its 2nd and final season. ‘The Sandman’ follows the people and places affected by Morpheus, the Dream King, as he mends the cosmic, and human, mistakes he’s made during his vast existence.
