Loveland, Colorado is becoming hot property when it comes to popular restaurant chains looking to expand. As of spring of 2025 there were 21 Raising Cane's in Colorado; by the same time the following year, Loveland could make 22. Where you hear how bad traffic can be getting in and out of the Fort Collins Raising Can's location along College, you have to hope that the developer of this Loveland one has a good plan. Folks hate traffic jams as much as they like chicken tenders.

When it comes to Mexican restaurants in Colorado, we have plenty. One, in Windsor, combines a respect for local history with tasty tequila and a great menu. Where once there was a nice little Italian restaurant, there now resides a nice little Mexican restaurant, that wraps its arms around the area's history and the memory of a great bull. The Windsor mill, at one time was a flour mill. Folks might remember a billiard table company being on the site.

You don't have to jog your memory too far back to remember how wildfires seem to start out of nowhere and greatly impact the area over the late spring and early summer months in Colorado. Each and every year, there's nothing worse than seeing that little plume of smoke west of us in the mountains, randomly one day on your way to work, only to see how it's multiplied many times over by the time you're headed home that day.

Colorado's gold rush era took place from 1858-1861, not a very long time. Nearly 20 years after that, a huge amount of gold bars was found, and then lost. It had to be very exciting to come upon a treasure like something out of "The Goonies" movie, only to not be able to find it again, but that's what happened to these guys. Over 100 years later, the gold will likely never be found. Prospector panning for goldBack when gold was discovered in Colorado in 1858, it was still a part of Kansas.

Benefiting the Loveland Lions Club, these two massive shows bring collectors to town to show off and sell vintage and antique toys and collectibles. Imagine an indoor flea market, all about toys. Food truck rallies around Northern Colorado are one of the best things about living here. A variety of tasty foods, hanging out with friends, maybe some live music. There's just something about a food truck: a mobile restaurant offering up unique dishes puts a smile on peoples' faces. When you get a bunch of them together, weekly, it gives us all the chance to sample more. Food truck rallies really began taking off in the 2010s. The FoCo Food Truck Rally dates back to 2014.
