Bridge Repair in Windsor Means 7th Will Be Closed at Eastman Park

One of the busiest streets in Windsor is 7th Street. Thousands of cars must travel along it everyday, whether just in town, or to-and-from Highway 34. There are three main arteries that take commuters from Highway 34 to Highway 392: Highway 257, County Road 17 (7th Street) and County Road 13 (Colorado Boulevard.) For three months, 7th Street will be closed near Eastman Park Drive.

Summer events in Colorado for 2025 include the Great Colorado Air Show at the Northern Colorado Regional Airport in Loveland. The Great Colorado Air Show always takes me back to 2001, when friends and I went before I had a first date with one of my exes. More than 20 years after that great day, they're coming back again. The U.S.A.F Thunderbirds (as a demonstration squadron) date back to 1953. They're stationed out of Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada assigned to the 57th Wing.

Traffic in Fort Collins, Colorado, just seems to get busier and busier as the years go by. Between population growth and CSU enrollment growth, Prospect & College see tens of thousands of cars, every day. If you've ever traveled along Prospect, near College, you've gone over the railroad tracks just east of Mason, a lot. For three days in June of 2025, there won't be any cars crossing those tracks.

Coloradans that live near one 10+ Trader Joe's locations in the state can consider themselves lucky, as there are a lot of folks who'd love to have one in their town. There's something oddly satisfying about getting into a Trader Joe's and shopping for those unique items that they have, not even counting that inexpensive Charles Shaw wine. I didn't venture into a Trader Joe's until I was dating a girl who lived near one in Denver.

With Hooters seeing trouble, the ones in Colorado may be in trouble (the one in Colorado Springs closed after 35 years in April of 2025;) it looks like we'll be seeing more Twin Peaks, however. I've only been to a Twin Peaks one time, the one at Flatirons Crossing in Broomfield. They're definitely "Hooters, but different." Twin Peaks is a sports bar with TVs, food, and beer, but instead of orange "Owl" outfits, the girls are dressed as lumberjacks.

Ice cream shops around Fort Collins and Northern Colorado number in the dozens, that's why a finding a great location can make all the difference. Edison's snagged a great spot in Old Town. A little ice cream car that hasn't been around a long time has found so much success, that they opened a brick-and-motor location in April of 2025. Right at the corner of Walnut and College, you'd be hard-pressed to ask for a better spot.

Whether you're hitting a Mexican restaurant in Northern Colorado to celebrate Cinco de Mayo or to just grab a margarita and some burritos, there are five in the area that are legendary, to many. Running a Mexican restaurant must be a lot of fun; you get to inspire with your own take on classic dishes, people love margaritas, and it's an overall "fun" vibe. Food costs are generally on low side, so it makes it easier to stay afloat, as well.

A big anticipated project in Downtown Loveland that was expected to be completed in May of 2023 looks even further away, it at all. 2025 marks ten years since the Heartland Cafe closed at the corner of 4th Street and Lincoln Avenue in Downtown Loveland. In 2021 a $32 million project was announced that would take up a large portion of that corner, The Draper Project.
Colorado Eagles Hosting Watch Party at Main Event on Friday

The Colorado Eagles are in the 2025 AHL Playoffs, and while they're on the road for their first game, the team is throwing a "Watch Party" to root them on. It's been a great season for the Colorado Eagles, including when Gabe Landeskog joined the team briefly, before heading back the Colorado Avalanche. The team got a "buy" out of the first round of the AHL Calder Cup Pacific Division Playoffs and will take on San Jose in the Semifinals.

Italian restaurants in Colorado vary in they way they approach their menus, but they all seem to have a great customer base. One in Fort Collins is making a move that old and new customers will embrace. It was in March of 2025 that we let you know that Panino's would be closing their location on Prospect Road near College Avenue in Fort Collins after 25 years. The closure being due to the entire building coming down to become CSU student housing.
