    AUBURN — A mission that began in 2021 with a handful of church members has grown to a roster of two dozen volunteers who made 3,156 greeting cards last year. The cards went to local and Honor Flight military veterans, shut-ins, care facility residents and young people at Bashor Home in Goshen. In all, the Master’s Card Makers of Auburn First United Methodist Church have created nearly 7,000 handmade greeting cards in a little over three years — increasing the number each year.

    AUBURN — A new timeline display traces the history of Auburn’s oldest church congregation. On a wall outside the sanctuary of Auburn First United Methodist Church, the permanent exhibit begins by describing the congregation’s first meetings in 1839, led by a circuit-riding preacher in the cabin of Auburn’s founder, Wesley Park.
