Marketing the Marriott Center and LaVell Edwards Stadium is a lot like filling up an airplane. Seats are limited, so when interest is high, the prices spike, and when it's low, they drop. In addition, the more a person wants to pay, the better seat they can get. The global economy runs on supply and demand, and when it comes to football and basketball, so does BYU. With interest high and rising in both sports, so are the fees.

When the clock strikes midnight to ring in 2026, one of LaVell Edwards' first offensive linemen at BYU will check out of the lineup. Appropriately, Chris Crowe 's 49-year run as a teacher will end right where his education began - in Provo, minus the kind of surprise that shook his arrival.

When it comes to big catches in BYU football lore, there are many. Clay Brown's improbable touchdown grab in the 1980 Holiday Bowl capped one of the biggest comebacks in college football history. Kelly Smith's touchdown won the 1984 national championship. Jonny Harline's touchdown broke Utah's heart at Rice-Eccles Stadium in 2006. Austin Collie picked up 49 yards on fourth-and-18 in another comeback against the Utes in 2007.
