Job is believed to $2bn-plus turnover Limak’s first in UKTurkish contractor Limak International has been appointed to build a new stadium for Championship side Luton Town. The job is believed to be the Ankara-based firm’s first in the UK, having first been set up in 1976 with, according to its 2023 annual report, the company employing just over 42,000 people. Contracting is one part of the wider group’s businesses with Limak Holding also operating in tourism, aviation, food and drink and cement.

In accounts now filed at Companies House, B&K said pre-tax profit was up a third to £69m in the year to August 2024 with income up 4% to £1.3bn. Operating profit was up 46% to £35m.

Premier League outfit had initially proposed full rebuild under plans first revealed nearly three years ago Aston Villa has begun the hunt for a contractor to expand the North Stand at Villa Park which will take capacity above 50,000. The club, which has revealed new images of the proposals, unveiled plans for the redevelopment back in August 2022 when a full rebuild was initially planned at a cost of around £100m.
