On the other hand, the buildings were as black as soot, the Yorkshire Ripper was around and you could feel the tension between the National Front and the south Asian community. I saw swastikas on walls and on an anti-NF march I was hit with a truncheon by a mounted police officer.

History repeats itself, try and you’ll succeed. Never doubt that you’re the one and you can have your dreams. That’s a succinct description of the plot of the latest big screen entry in an entertainment I.P. I’ve loved since my single digit years and it’s very fitting that those words work to describe it.

They have this childlike quality. These days we’d probably say he’s on the spectrum – there’s a sort of Asperger’s type innocence. He makes the lyrics and the melody speak. It’s so welcoming and without edge; it’s not part of a cynical adult world.
