Reading your post, alaskaman, was enjoyable for it's to-the point succinctness. Of course, I empathize and can even commiserate to some degree with your situation. All emotions stem from the basic two, love & fear. If we can identify which of these emotions motivate other's behavior, we can understand their actions.

I am a clinic RN who handles calls and messages and our Medical Assistants and LVNs assist the providers in clinic. A newly-hired LVN came to my office with a question at the end of the day because the LVN manager was out. The LVN told me that Provider X instructed the new LVN to scan a medication that the provider had already given (unwitnessed). I don't know that we have a written protocol for this (couldn't find one), so I advised that Provider X, who administered the med, should scan the med.

That was.....astonishing! Talk about a well-painted picture. Although these were just graphics in the video, they really helped to bring life to the words as he spoke them. I have not had an NDE (ordinarily, this is where I would say THANK GOD). But now, after listening to him, I kinda feel 'short-changed'....if that makes any sense.

A Human Comedy is defined with, "the whole variety of human life", and death is part of that whole variety. This thread was inspired by @sideshowstarlet 's thread "The Light At the End of the Tunnel" which what many people who have experienced an NDE see. A virtual plethora of thoughts have come to mind, which is fodder for artistic expression. It has been said, "Where there is a thought, there can be art", so ever thus.

There was a rural one room schoolhouse which stood on the side of the valley, about a mile from where I grew up and now reside. This Summer, I did some relatively intensive research into its history totaling about 125 pages of narrative, drawings, and other images. I showed my work to the head librarian of the local genealogical/historical library and she requested a copy of my work, which is now part of the Illinois Room.

Working in the medical/psychiatric field for over 40 years was a very big part of my life, many so-called good & bad situations occurred during those years. Now that the game is over, I've made it into a board game based on Monopoly, with a board showing all the facilities where I worked, Davey Do pieces (RN & LPN), Fate cards and Administration cards, and a point system, based on my hourly wage. Basically, the dice are rolled, and the pieces move around the board.
