Amid a backdrop of , a clear focus on achieving growth is essential. The plan is at an early stage. The new green paper marks the beginning of a consultation process designed to shape future government policy. But creating an industrial strategy in the first place – to coordinate a wide range of economic policies – is commendable.

Their assigned moniker; 'Gen Z' like the generations that came before has begun with negative associations. Why? Because no one yet knows what they're going to do. This is history repeating itself. For example, us Gen-X'ers were originally referred to as 'Slackers'. I never understood this. Research suggests Gen Z are lazy and self obsessed. We're told they don't volunteer for community service or charity work. Is this because they don't want to contribute?
