Leading 114-112 with 6.2 seconds left, Portland’s Jabari Walker missed a free throw. The Jazz took possession, and Kyle Flipowski faked one way and went the other, giving himself a clear lane to the hoop for the tying dunk. After a timeout, Portland looped an inbounds pass to the basket where Toumani Camara saw his attempt slide off the rim.

The Portland Trail Blazers postseason hopes took a serious hit Thursday night with a 128-107 loss to Sacramento on the road. The loss hurt their chances even more with Sacramento being one of the teams they were trying to catch in the Western Conference standings. The Blazers held the lead briefly in the game’s opening minutes, but spent most of the night chasing from behind by a double-digit margin.

Oregon State’s baseball team pilled another win onto its total with a 7-3 win over Rutgers at Goss Stadium on Tuesday. The Beavers broke the game open early with a four-run burst in the third inning, sparked by Aiva Arquette’s two-run double to the right-field gap. Gavin Turley added an RBI single in the next at-bat, and Wilson Weber out of Barlow High finished the rally by drawing a bases-loaded walk on a full count.
