    It has been announced that the FOX-owned ad-supported streaming service Tubi will be providing a free stream of this year’s Super Bowl. This is a surprise move given the recent years of streaming services. Last year, the Super Bowl aired on CBS and the cheapest way to stream that game live was through Paramount+, and in 2022, the Super Bowl aired on NBC and streamed live on Peacock.

    It has been reported by Reuters that Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon mentioned today that the company might be getting out of its contract and partnership with Apple before 2030. “We have a contract with Apple to run that partnership until 2030, although there’s some possibility that it won’t continue until that time frame,” he said during its recent earnings call.

    Last week, we reported that there was an opportunity for NFL fans to stream one of the NFL Wild Card playoff games in 4K. Now it looks as though that is being done with the Divisional Round this weekend too. On Saturday, January 18, the Washington Commanders vs. Detroit Lions game will take place at 8 p.m. ET on FOX. The winner of the game will play in the next weekend’s NFC Championship.

This includes merchandise and items from popular TV shows such as “The Office,” “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” “Ted” (Peacock Original), “Parks and Recreation,” “Friends,” “Suits,” and others.

    During the last couple of years, Apple Pay has made great strides in getting accepted at more and more businesses across the U.S., with 2024 being another very successful year for that. Last year, the two major companies that began accepting Apple Pay were The Home Depot and Texas-based grocery store chain H-E-B. Another smaller victory was the Culver’s app getting support for Apple Pay too.
