But there is an abundance of sadness too. The failure of Hulleys Buses after some 111 years is a sad, sad day. The business and founding members of the Hulley family mean a great deal to me and my family. My dad worked there up to his retirement in 1976 as both a driver and mechanic.

It is justified that proper questions can be posed about subjects that are of public interest. But what a poor reflection it is on those authors who don't or can't be bothered to do some basic research before launching into personal criticisms.

Sufferers of this condition will be well aware of the NHS policy called Shared Care, which is denying them very effective medication. In far too many cases, GPs are refusing to renew established prescriptions.

Last week, the Prime Minister took to a platform to tell us how so-called artificial intelligence (AI) can grow productivity in the arena of filling potholes in our roads, by evaluating (more quietly spoken) camera images. What this Labour government hasn't yet understood is that true productivity in this field is measured by the potholes getting filled. Question: Where are the camera images going to come from?
