Look, Casio, I am not mad — just disappointed. The latest-greatest, top-tier, AI-designed G-Shock MT-G watches, specifically the G-Shock MTG-B4000B-1A2 and MTG-B4000-1A, debuted on YouTube (which would have been all well and good), and yet we have not heard a single word officially from Casio on this release. How could anything with “4000” in its name be launched this quietly? Anyway, let’s dig into what makes this an exciting new chapter in the history of MT-G ultra-high-end G-Shock watches.

The all-new MB&F Special Projects Collection and its SP One debut watch might just be the first release in my 12 years of covering the brand where I did not immediately know what to say about it or how best to approach it. The SP One? Both and yet none of those things all at once.

I love watches and watchmaking because, every once in a while, they shed light on something awesome or someone inspiring.

Call me slow if you want to, but it was now, while looking at the review sample of this Rosenbusch The Quest RB200 watch, that the following revelation finally dawned on me: the defining trend of recent years is telling us that we just have to grow to accept a new genre of watches.

Folks spraying subway cars, alleyways, and industrial compounds of NYC with the origins of graffiti for the Big Apple are now in their 60s, 70s, and beyond — and I’m sure, few of them would have bet at the time that their expressions would eventually end up on a Bulova watch dial in 2025. But it did, surrounded by another visual expression that traces its roots to the 1970s: the Super Seville.
